About Me

I am a Computer Science graduate from the Department of Computer Science, University of Jaffna, currently pursuing a Master of Science in Big Data Analytics at IIT. I have been serving as an Assistant Lecturer at SLIIT City Uni for over 1.5 years, where I guide students in Mathematics for Computing, Data Systems, and Data Structures Modules.

I played a pivotal role as a Co-investigator for the World Bank-funded Agriculture Products Management System, which led to the development of an E-commerce platform using Laravel—later transformed into a sleek mobile app and published on Google Play.

My research interests revolve around IoT, data science, and cybersecurityparticularly focusing on big data-driven threat intelligence for IoT networks and smart city applications. I am deeply passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world problems and creating impactful solutions that bridge academia and industry.

Notably, my undergraduate research, which produced a Masked Face Recognition system, earned a distinction in recent academic assessments. Additionally, I pioneered the development of a dataset on Paddy Leaf Diseases, aiming to enhance agricultural practices utilizing big data analysis during my research assistant tenure at Department of computer science, university of jaffna.

During my 6-month internship at Codelantic (Pvt) Ltd., I excelled as a Trainee Software Engineer (Backend - Java) with an excellent rating. Throughout, I focused on microservice architecture, Spring Boot API creation, and validation. I optimized APIs, developed Gateway services, and conducted JUnit unit testing. Additionally, I integrated microservices into SonarQube for code quality analysis and managed Procedure Logs using NoSoquel, becoming Proficient in creating Postman collections and implementing Selenium Automation.

During my one-and-a-half-year tenure as a Trainee Staff Assistant at Sampath Bank, I gained valuable experience in various aspects of banking operations. Throughout my training period, I honed my skills in customer handling, marketing, and canvassing banking products.
